Farm shop

The Northdown farm shop is open during the camping season every day from 8am to 9pm. We stock a large range of mostly organic produce.


Organic Meat

Beef - most of the beef we supply is from our organic Aberdeen Angus cattle. The animals are completely grass fed, and the meat is hung for 3-4 weeks to develop the flavour and texture. Generally available cuts are: fillet, sirloin, rump and some ribeye steaks. Top rump cut as flash fry steak and mince are usually available, as are silverside/topside joint which many of our customers take home.

Beef burgers - these are made from our Angus beef, and so are full of flavour. We do not over season them so that the flavour of the meat can come through.

Lamb - our cross bred animals produce some really tasty lamb. This can been commented on by many people, including those who don't usually eat lamb. Like the beef, this is well hung for flavour. We usually have loin, chup and barnsley chops, leg steaks (our favourite!), shoulder steaks/chops, leg and shoulder joints, sausages and burgers.

Pork - we don't keep pigs, so most of our pork comes from the Syling Estate at Sydling St Nicholas. They provide a range of sausages including pork, pork chipolata, pork and garlic, chorizo, as well as bacon, pork steaks and gammon steaks.

Venison - local venison as steaks and sausages

Cooked meats - Dorset Charcuterie supply us with a range of cooked and smoked meats including sliced ham, salami, pancetta, roast beef, pates, air dried beef. Their produce is all made with local and/or organic meats.



Organic Dairy

Milk and cream from Coombe Farm organic
Cheeses - Lye Cross organic cheddar, Ford Farm Coastal and Wookey Hole cheddar from just the other side of Weymouth, Woolsery goats cheeses from Sydling, Dorset
Cheesecake - a range of amazing organic cheesecakes from What-on-Earth
Butter, eggs, yoghurts etc



Organic Fruit and Vegetables
Green & Pleasant, who farm at Syling, Dorset produce most of our organic veg, including: tomatoes, cucumber, lettuce, radish, rocket, spinach, pepper, potatoes, beetroot, cabbage, carrots, courgettes, french beans, sweetcorn, onions, garlic etc etc



Organic Bread and Bakery
This year we will be operating our own bakery, producing a range of organic breads. We expect to be producing white and brown loaves, bagettes and rolls, as well as some specials including long fermentation, malted five seed, olive & rosemary, raisin & walnut, fruit bread etc

In addition we will be baking a range of organic pastries and cakes including croissants: plain, chocolate and almond, danish pastries, bar cakes, savouries, flap jack, chocolate brownies, bread pudding etc



Local and Organic Beer
We offer a range of bottle real ales from two local breweries:

Purbeck Brewery supplies their Solar Power, Fossil Fuel, Studland, Best and IPA
Dorset Brewing Company supplies us with Chesil, Durdle Door, Jurassic, Silent Knight

Suma supply us with their bottled organic ales. We also stock normal canned and bottled lagers and beers.



Wines
We supply a range of organic wines including the popular Touchstone range, as well as a range of old world and new world wines.



Ciders
Westons supply us with a range of vintage and organic ciders, including their Vintage reserve, Premium Organic and Organic Pear ciders, as well as flagons of Organic Vintage Cider



Soft drinks
Organic and additive free soft drinks, fruit juices and squash, as well as our own local bottled water.



Dry Foods
We stock a range of organic dry, tinned and bottled foods including, pasta, pasta sauces, beans, soups, dressings, chutneys, oils, cereals, sugar, honey, jams, marshmallows, muesli bars, crisps, etc



Gas
We stock the following sizes - 907, 904, C206, C500, C250, CP100 (aerosol type), CP250, CV300plus, CV270, CV470. We also stock a few gas regulators. Please let us know in advance if you require a different size, or a regulator, and we will do our best to suorce it for you.



BBQ gear
We have disposable BBQs, charcoal, firelighters, firewood, lighters, utensils and pans.



Tent gear
Tent pegs and guy ropes. We do not stock poles as there are so many different types, however we have a lot of used poles and our site staff will often help you put together something serviceable.



Non Foods
A range of non foods including batteries, suncream, can openers, kites, cleaning products and health and beauty products.
